Celery! (The cat not the food)

This is my cat, her name is Celery! I got her when I was three. I've had her for about 10 years, so she is apart of the family! Some things that I love about her is that she doesn't bite or scratch very hard, and when she does she doesn't do it very hard. Another thing is that she can understand me when I want her to get off my bed or me. Lately I have been wheezing and been a little more snotty. So yesterday I went to the allergist to see what if I was allergic to anything. The nurse scratched different 42 different things onto my back to see if I would break out. Ranging from dust mites to cats and dogs. They rate each break our from 0-5. 5 being the worst 0 the least bad. Guess what I'm allergic to? They were rated 5. Yeah, you probably figured it out because of the picture I put up. Cats and dogs! Sad huh? The doctor prescribed TONS of medication for me. I'm not kidding! Sometimes when I get near the cat I break out into splotches, but last night (after I had taken the medication) she came and slept with me. I could breath, and I didn't wake up with splotches. This is a picture of her on top of my bed. For some reason she doesn't like to sleep on the pink thing. We bought that so she wouldn't get fur all over the bed.(and it looked good too!)
This is a picture of her begging me for my water.
Well, instead of getting rid of her we decided to just take the medication for now!

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter will be here before you know it! I've already been on an Easter egg hunt! My family and I went to our grandparents house for our annual Easter egg hunt! I got about 9 dollars! I also got a glittery baton and lip gloss! Here is what the eggs looked like. Here is my family before we went on the hunt! Everyone is super excited!
Here is my grandpa watching us look for our 10 colored eggs and 1 silver or gold egg!
Here is my dad and I. I look like I'm mad, but trust me I'm not!
Here is my little brothers, they are helping each other find their eggs! How cute!
Here I am helping Andrew find his silver egg that he wanted so bad!
Here I am again looking at my loot!
And here is the fam. hanging out after the hunt playing with their stuff! Grandpa is singing and playing the guitar. My cousins are dancing to the music, while the grown-ups are cleaning up! I had fun at the hunt and got a good amount of money too!

My Favorite Things

Well, to start with I like to act. About a year ago I took an acting class. I also like to read, write, and do art. One of my favorite books is 'Wings.' (but that's just one!) I like many books. There aren't very many that I don't like. I have written a book. I never seem to finish the ones I've started. I took an art class at school and made pottery, painted, did crafts, and many other things. I also like to play with my friends. A while back my friends and I went to lunch and shopping. We had some fun at all-a-dollar. I also like to cook. One of my specialties is brownies. YUM! I'm still experimenting with them. Sometimes I add chocolate chips. I'll have to put the recipe on my blog. My family is quite unique. I have a mom, dad, and two little brothers. Riley (11) and Andrew (5). Andrew is a little ball of energy and Riley likes to torture him. My idea of a perfect day is reading a book I'm really into, with a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies and milk during a rain storm. I have a cat named celery. She has been in our family most my life. She will turn 11 when I turn 14. I am hard-working and love to babysit. I have wonderful grandparents, lots of aunts and uncles, and hardly any cousins. My favorite food is white enchiladas. (My mom is amazing at those.) My favorite thing to do with my family is to play settlers. I like to play the Wii. My favorite game is Wii fit plus. Well, I could go on and on about my life, but I'll stop there.

A True Story!

My family watched a movie last night. The movie was called 'Hachi.' I bawled my eyes out! I looked around the room and my mom and uncle were crying too! The ending is quite emotional. This movie is about a man who finds a dog and brings him home. He decides to keep the dog. One day he goes to the train station to go to work and the dog followed him. Finally the man gets him to go home. Around 5:00 the dog (Hachi) goes and waits for the train to come home with the man. Every day Hachi would do that. Well, don't want to give away the ending so if you want to know what happens you should watch this movie. It's even better to watch with family. Hachi got really good reviews, so here is MY review. I would give it 3/4 stars. Hachi is a really good family movie and an amazing TRUE story! You could watch Hachi for family night or just because.

Why a blog?

Some of you may be asking "Why did she choose to do a blog?" Well, I'll tell you why.
I decided to do a blog because who has ever heard of a kid doing a blog?
I have opinions, ideas, recommendations and I wanted to share them with you! For example, last night I went to play dodge ball with my ward. We played with the Bishop, the leaders, and each other! Let me just say, the bishop has a great arm! Guess who got him out!? That's right! ME! He had two balls in his hands and he was preoccupied. So I just took my chance. I also got out one of the best girl players in our ward. I don't play sports very often and so it was quite exciting for me! So my first recommendation for you is to get all your friends and go play some dodge ball!

Meet........me!

It's me Amanda! This is my first blog post. So exciting! Well, a little bit about me. I love to read and write. (one of the main reasons I started a blog.) I love my friends. I don't dislike school but don't like it either, get what I'm saying? My family and I do a lot of things together and I think it would be fun to share my opinions, so keep your eye out for fun posts and ideas!
